How to apply with sticky pads
1. *Preparation*:
- Begin with clean, dry nails. Remove any nail polish or residue using nail polish remover.
- Push back your cuticles gently using an orange stick or cuticle pusher.
2. *Size Selection*:
- Before you apply any stick pads, ensure that you've selected the correct size of press-on nails for each finger.
- Do the same with the stick pads, making sure they fit your natural nails without overlapping onto the skin.
3. *Stick Pad Application*:
- Peel off the stick pad from its backing sheet.
- Apply the adhesive side of the stick pad to your natural nail, pressing from the base (cuticle end) to the tip to avoid any air bubbles.
- Ensure the entire surface of your nail is covered, but avoid the skin.
- Once in place, peel off the top protective layer from the stick pad to expose the adhesive for the press-on nail.
4. *Press-On Nail Application*:
- Align the press-on nail with your cuticle, ensuring it's straight.
- Press down firmly from the middle, then out towards the edges. Hold for a few seconds to secure the bond.
5. *Finishing Touches*:
- Once all nails are applied, you can file or shape the tips if needed.
- Avoid immersing your hands in water for at least an hour after application to let the adhesive set properly.
How to apply with glue
1. *Glue Application*:
- Apply a thin, even layer of nail glue to the back of the press-on nail. Avoid using excessive glue to prevent overflow when pressing the nail down.
- For added adhesion, you can also apply a small dot of glue to the middle of your natural nail.
2. *Press-On Nail Application*:
- Carefully align the press-on nail with your cuticle, ensuring it's straight.
- Press the nail down firmly, starting from the cuticle end and moving towards the tip. Hold for about 10-15 seconds to ensure a strong bond. Be sure to press out any air bubbles that might form.
- Wipe away any excess glue that might have seeped out immediately using a cotton swab or tissue.
3. *Finishing Touches*:
- Once all nails are applied, you can trim, file, or shape the tips if desired.
- Avoid immersing your hands in water or using lotions and oils for a few hours after application to allow the glue to set completely.
How to remove press-on nail safely
1. *Prepare Your Workspace*:
- Choose a well-ventilated area to work in, especially if you'll be using any solvents like acetone.
- Lay down a towel or some paper towels on your workspace to catch any drips.
2. *Soak Your Nails*:
- Fill a bowl with warm, soapy water.
- Soak your nails in the water for about 10-15 minutes. This helps soften the nails and the adhesive underneath.
3. *Gently Loosen the Edges*:
- After soaking, use an orange stick or a cuticle pusher to gently lift the edges of the press-on nail. Start at the base or side of the nail and work your way around.
- If the nail doesn't lift easily, avoid using force. Instead, return to soaking your nails for a few more minutes.
4. *For Resilient Nails (Optional Acetone Soak)*:
- If you find the nails or residual adhesive to be particularly stubborn, you can use an acetone-based nail polish remover. Pour some into a bowl.
- Soak your nails in the acetone for a few minutes. Monitor closely, and don't let them soak for too long to prevent excessive drying of your natural nails and skin. - After soaking, gently wiggle the press-on nail until it comes off.
5. *Remove Residual Glue*:
- After removing the press-on nails, you might notice some residual glue on your natural nails.
- Gently buff away this residue with a nail buffer or use a bit of acetone on a cotton ball to dissolve it. Be gentle to avoid thinning or damaging your natural nail. 6.
*Aftercare*:
- Wash your hands thoroughly to remove any chemicals or residues.
- Apply a moisturizing hand cream or nail oil to replenish moisture to your nails and cuticles. Acetone can be very drying, so it's important to rehydrate afterward.
- Avoid applying any nail products immediately after removal to give your natural nails some time to breathe and recover.
Tips:
- Patience is key. Rushing the removal process or using force can damage your natural nails.
- If you used adhesive tabs instead of glue for your press-on nails, the removal might be easier
